PETRICHOR TECHNOLOGY™ 3L. High-Performance Breathability.

Montane’s PETRICHOR 3-layer technology delivers waterproof (20,000mm Hydrostatic Head), exceptionally breathable performance to the Cetus Waterproof Mitts. It scores a RET rating of less than 7, which means it is ideally suited for high-output activities in the outdoors, where it will remain breathable to keep you dry inside and out. This is achieved through the windproof, non-porous hydrophilic membrane that transports water vapour and moisture away from the body, an effect that increases in strength as you work harder. The 3-layer construction sandwiches the waterproof membrane between a 100% recycled, 30D Ripstop nylon face fabric and the lining, for improved durability and next-to-skin comfort.

    Waterproof Mitts

    These are very good at protecting hands when the weather gets bad. I will have my other gloves on from Montane and when it gets bad, i will put this mitts over the gloves.

    Almost the perfect shell mitt

    I’m very satisfied with the mitts so far, the design is uncomplicated which makes for easy use in winter conditions. The bungee attachment cord works well and the sinch system is perfect. Only thing they are missing is a simple clip to attach them to each other when stored.

    I’m reluctant to give a complete review because the mostly important factor for me in a product is longevity/durability and only time will tell. I’ve only had them over a month and used them a handful of times 🤣 Not yet in bucketing rain. But so far so good in wind and snow.
